Still stuck with the aftermath of eating and drinking your way through Christmas and the New Year? Resolutions starting to waver or completely forgotten?
It’s not too late to do something about it – and in just four weeks you could have a fitter, more toned and shapely body thanks to former international athlete and Gladiator Kate Staples and her team.
Kate has brought the Adventure Boot Camp programme to the UK from America and hundreds of women have already benefited from the combination of strength, stamina, toning and flexibility training, nutritional and motivational advice.
“Come to boot camp for just one hour a day, for five days a week and you’ll start to see the difference long before the four weeks are over,” says Kate.
And she knows all about the battle for fitness. After being forced to retire from athletics and from Gladiators when a devastating fall left her with her neck broken in two places, she fought her way back to fitness and became a personal trainer, quickly attracting a diary full of celebrity clients.
“When I heard about the Adventure Boot Camp, I went on an intensive training programme in California and became the first, and only, person to bring it to the UK,” she said.
The first camp was at Esher in Surrey and Kate has gathered a glittering team of former Olympic athletes to join the bootcamp phenomenon. Double Olympic decathlon champion Daley Thompson is associate director and camps at Guildford and Wimbledon are run by former Olympic pole vaulter and TV Superstars champion Brian Hooper and Olympic judo silver medallist Ray Stevens.
“We are about to open new camps at Fulham, Battersea and Wandsworth, all with high profile trainers and more will be coming later in the year,” says Kate.
“Adventure bootcamp is all about fun and challenge. Everyone is welcome, no matter what their size or fitness level as long as they are determined to do their best. Most of the training is outside, so you don’t need specialised gym equipment and you will be able to continue the exercises yourself after Boot Camp is over.”
“Best of all, it’s very affordable. Where else could you train with an elite athlete or former Olympian for just £200 for 20 sessions?”
